Tomorrow my family and I are going to Phuket Island in Thailand. I did some research on Thailand and found out some cool facts.

THAILAND
Thailand is located in South-East Asia. The capital of Thailand is Bangkok. Patong is the most famous island and is known for its beaches. The Chao Phraya is a main river in Thailand where many people live in houses built on stilts. Thailand is bigger than the United Kingdom, Iceland, Belgium and Austria combined. Thailand has 1430 islands with Phuket as its largest island. The language in Thailand is Thai.

The main religion is Buddhism. The Buddhism religion has a New Year and it takes place in Thailand. They start at the first full moon in April.

There are a lot of animals in Thailand and some of them are: Black stripped weasel, Tiger, Water buffalo, Bats, Otter, Eld’s deer, Black bear, Sei whale, Golden cat, Neill's Long-tailed Giant Rat. Elephants are also found in Thailand and they are very important because Elephants haul lumber out of the mountain forests in the north. Monkeys are another important animal to the Thai people because monkeys help harvest coconuts in the south.
Thailand has a tropical climate. The rainy season or monsoon season is between June and October and the dry season is about the rest of the year. Temperatures average 24 to 33 degrees Celsius, with the highest temperatures from March to May and the lowest in December and January. There are three seasons: the cool season (November to February), the hot season (April to May), and the rainy season (June to October), with heavy downpours usually only lasting a couple of hours.
