This is Megan and I at Little India. We got our henna drawn on our arms and legs. Henna is black ink made from plants. When the lady finished puting it on me it was all dry and clumply but when it fell off it is stained into my arm. Henna does not hurt like a tattoo. It is in a tube that when you squeze it the henna comes out on your hand. When Indian people get married, the wife gets henna done on her legs, feet, arms and hands. They are told that the longer their henna stays on them the happier their marriage will be. A lady who worked at the henna shop, took my piture and put it in the henna album for everybody to see. The next henna I am getting, is a big dragon on my back!!!! I am sooooo excited!!
I got a lizard running up my arm and Megan got flowers and vines on her ankle.

This is the Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple that we went to in Little India.
In the temple we had to ring three bells before we left and it would give us good luck. The first Deity (that's what they call the god statues) we saw had 4 legs and one of them was standing on a dead body. I don't know why but almost every God was standing on a dead body. There were people praying and they had to give the Deity gifts of fruits and flower necklaces. The last Deity that we saw looked like a vampire. The name of it was Sri Periaci and although she looked scary because she had blood coming out of her mouth, she was the goddess of fertility, safe childbirth, and the good health of newborn babies.
Before we went into the temple we had to take off our shoes and socks and we were "supposed" to have our arms and legs covered with clothes but we went in anyway.
In the Indian culture the left hand is used for "toilet task" so poniting at people or sacred object with the left hand is not polite. if you have to point you have to use your open palm.

This is Mom and I at the Jurong Bird Park Singapore. We went there a month ago and there was about 20 people there that day so we got to sit in front every time and I got picked one show and a bird piched on my arm and put a toy penguin in a bucket that I held in my hand. Also we got to hold and feed parots and one of them talked to us!! It was really fun.

This is the largest dedication to the laughing Buddha temple in Indonesia. The temple is still being built and the workers started over 10 years ago. The temple is huge having over 45 praying rooms and more than 300 statues. It is located on a hill top so you can see all of Bantam. We saw a really big cockroach in the temple too. This is me at the ferry terminal waiting for it to come. We traveled by ferry from Singapore to Indonesia and back. It took us an hour each way.

Here we are at my house in Holyrood. This is my last day in Canada with my friends until 5 more months. I really miss them and alot of other people too. We went sliding down my big hill in my backyard (not the big cliff) and Chase tried to go down the hill with everyone else, but he grabbed on to Cameron’s shoe instead of the slide. Then Chase flicked his boot (trying to throw it back to Cameron) but it landed in the woods instead. So everybody was looking for it and Chase had to go get a flashlight. I was covering Cameron's foot to make it warm! Then we found it using the flashlight Another thing we did was have a big pillow fight (A.K.A piccolo fight) in the basement and I think Chase won.

Last night, me, Mom, Dad and Megan went out for supper at Hard Rock Cafe. Hard Rock Cafe is a really good restaurant that has its own gift shop and used clothing by the Sex Pistols and Elvis Presley.
At the restaurant they have live bands playing and a dj there.
The guy in the yellow shirt is the lead singer and also plays guitar. The guy in the black shirt is the lead guitarist. It was the same band that we saw at the New Years Eve ball at Clarke Quay (you pronounce the quay part as "key").
We went there so I could write about it in this blog page and to eat supper.
The name of the band was Energy and they offered me to sing on stage (but I didn’t). The lead singer gave me his autograph and the lead guitarist let me hold his guitar!

I am living at the Monterey Park Condos. The Condos have 3 big swimming pools 1 gym 1 lounge 1 karaoke lounge and 1 tennis court! But the bad thing is we are in the middle of nowhere (like my house in Holyrood) because every thing is on the other side of Singapore. When we first came here we had to take taxis every where it was like 100 dollars every week!!!!!! But now we travel by the MRT which is like a subway but it is above ground and sometimes below (like a subway) it is soooo fast!!!!
The weather here is sooo hot and the hottest time of year is winter!!! The lowest it gets is about 25 degrees! Most every day it is +30. My favorite part of living here is the shopping. The shopping here is awesome because there are like hundreds of malls in Singapore, and Newfoundland is bigger than Singapore. My least favorite part is not being with my grade 5 class!!!:(

Here I am at the Singapore Zoo with the White Tiger. I went there with Nan, Pop, Mom, Megan, Roger and Marlane. My favorite animal was little little monkeys. They were the size of your palm but I cant remember the name of them.:( I went to the water park at the Zoo where a big 55 gallon bucket of water falls on you IT WAS SOOOOOO FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here I am at the Singapore Zoo. We just finished watching a show called Rainforest Fights Back. The show was about this guy that tries to take over the rainforest and put malls and companys in the rainforest and kill all the animals. But the tribal warriors came and tied him up and then the rainforest was safe again. After the show, I got my picture taken with the cast and the rock python snake.

Sentosa Island

Me at Sentosa Butterfly and Bird Park. Sentosa is like Canada's Wonderland because it has lots of rides. I went there with Nan, Pop, Mom, Megan, Marlene, and Roger. My favorite part of Sentosa was the Tiger Sky Ride it takes you up in the air and you can see all of Sentosa and Singapore.
